When is the Las Vegas Beer Festival™?
We want to produce the LVBF™ annually in the spring. The exact 2014 event dates and times will be announced as we progress...
Where is the Las Vegas Beer Festival™?
We have several options for the best outdoor location for the festival. When we have finalized our plans and secured the location we will post the information...
The Main Entrance...
The main entrance will be very easy to find. There will probably be a line of people moving through it. It's a beer festival! The LVBF™ staff is required to check the identification of all who enter the festival to ensure they are of proper drinking age. To help the line move quickly, please have your ID ready, and make sure it is one of four types accepted by the Nevada Liquor Control Commission. Once approved you'll get an official daily wristband and will be allowed to exit & return without having to go through the line again. But once in - you probably wont want to leave!
No matter your age or appearance, please be prepared to show proper identification in order to enter to the festival. Valid ID includes an Nevada Identification card, any state driver's license or ID card with photo, a passport, or a United States military identification card with photo. We are unable to accept any foreign driver's license (with the exception of Canada). Also, the identification cannot be expired at the time of the festival.
Mugs & Tokens!
Mugs & tokens are sold at the same area in a tent located next to the main entrance. In order to sample beers at the LVBF™, you must have a current year's mug. The mugs are a one-time purchase and cost $5 each and can be reused every day of the festival. Attendees can have a mug in each hand - 2 mugs at a time = twice the fun!
Once you have purchased your mug, festival tokens will be needed to get beer. Beer servers will not accept cash. Festival tokens cost $1 each. One token gets you a taster portion of beer or four tokens can be used to fill your mug. Mugs & tokens are non-refundable. However, they make great souvenirs too!
When do the taps shut off?
Taps shut off at 9 p.m. each day. That means no more beer is poured after those times. The festival grounds will be open until 10pm, giving all attendees time to finish their beers and leave at a leisurely pace.
When do Mug & Token sales end?
Mug & token sales stop a half hour before the taps are shut off each day at 9:00pm. This means no sales after 8:30pm. Everyone must exit the festival grounds by 10pm.
Festival Beers Information...
With so few days and so many beers on tap, we will have the Official LVBF™ Souvenir Guide Book and the LVBF™ Pocket Pamphlet available at the Mug & Tokens tent. The information printed in these will help you get the most of of the festival.
The LVBF™ Souvenir Guide Book costs $5 and provides detailed information on the beers at the event, including their makeup, the alcohol content, and information on the brewer & brewery. It will be "dictionary style" for those of you who like to know what you are drinking. There is also a map of the taps, indicating which beers are pouring in each tent, and a section for tasting notes & autographs.
The LVBF™ Pocket Pamphlet is a simple version of the information available for $2 that will have just the listings and locations of all the beers.
You also have the option to just "wing it" and go by the Brewers Logos that will be hanging above each tap...
Why does the Las Vegas Beer Festival™ have out of state beers?
The state of Nevada currently has only 17 brewing companies. The goal of the Las Vegas Beer Festival is to provide a wide variety of beers from all over the USA along side our great Nevada beers.
Tasting beers that are not generally distributed throughout Nevada gives festival attendees the opportunity to sample beers they wouldn't be able to drink. Also, many of the breweries bring custom brews created just for this event - providing us special LVBF™ "only" beers!
Will the beers run out?
The LVBF™ will have 20+ kegs from each of the breweries. We then split these accordingly for each day. This way there's a better chance that you'll be able to try all the beers.
Some beers are very popular and sell out faster - there's a good chance that the beer "most talked about" daily will probably run out before the end of the day. But because of our planning, these beers will be available each day, so plan ahead.
If you're coming to taste certain beers, we recommend you come earlier in the day. If there is beer left over from the previous day - we'll tap those kegs too!
What else is there to do at the festival?
Tasting beer is the focus of the LVBF™, but there are many other fun & educational activities as well. The special guest brewers talks are a fantastic way to learn about beer & brewing. There will be booths featuring industry exhibits, media and souvenirs!
Best of all, there will be music, comedy and other entertainment & events! Check the Entertainment & Events pages on this site for a full listing. There will be plenty of things to do & see while you enjoy great beers!
Food & Vendors...
There will be many food & vendor booths offering a variety of popular snacks & meals, beverages and other great products. Each food & vendor booth operator has the option of accepting cash, bank cards and even festival tokens as payment for your purchases.
Does the Las Vegas Beer Festival™ accept credit cards?
Of course - but cash is always quicker. The food & vendor booths have the option to process bank cards, but will most likely prefer cash to keep the lines moving quickly. The festival will also have ATM machines available.
Can I bring my own food & beverages?
Yes, you can bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverage. There are a few rules on beverages: all bottles must be plastic & factory sealed - no canteens or thermos style containers are allowed. This is to eliminate outside alcohol being brought in.
Can I bring my child?
Minors will only be allowed at the LVBF™ with a parent or guardian. There will be root beer and lemonade available for all minors and designated drivers.
Can I bring my pet?
Animals are not allowed on the festival site with the exception of ADA animals.
Is smoking allowed?
