Staff Positions at the Las Vegas Beer Festival™...
The Las Vegas Beer Festival™ needs many dependable, beer loving Staff Members!
Being a member of the Staff, you'll discover that working the Las Vegas Beer Festival™ is a lot of fun! You'll meet many new people, talk with brewers & beer lovers, and learn about and taste a wide variety of great beers from across the USA.! Your compensation includes an official LVBF™ Staff Member Coaches style shirt, a complimentary LVBF™ beer mug, and beer tokens!! Their are volunteer and paid positions needed to be filled.
There are 6 departments for members of the Las Vegas Beer Festival™ Staff. Listed below is general information about the various positions.
Operations Management... Festival Systems Manager: organize, maintain & support the systems staff
Festival Systems Manager Assistant: provide support for the manager
Food Support Attendant: provide support for the extra needs of the Food booths
Vendor Support Attendant: provide support for the extra needs of the Vendors
Music Tent Supervisor: maintain the special requirements of the Music tent
Comedy Tent Supervisor: maintain the special requirements of the Comedy tent
Festival Systems... Festival Beer Plumbers: maintain the proper operation of the taps & lines
Festival Keg Rustlers: ice, keg & storage maintenance & support
Festival Maintenance Staff: water stations / paper refills / spill buckets
Festival Electricians: maintain the electrical needs of the LVBF™
Volunteer Coordination... Volunteer Supervisors: provide guidance & manage each shift of volunteers
Supervisor Assistants: check-in & support for the supervisor & volunteers Staff Relief Personnel: temporarily fill-in for the staff on breaks
General Public... Entrance Personnel: check ID & apply wristbands / general information
Brewers Tent Supervisor: maintain the special needs of the Brewers tent Brewer Tent Assistant: check-in brewers & provide Supervisor support
Special Events Management... Off-Site Events Registration: organize and check-in the event participants
Off-Site Events Supervisors: organize and run the special events Off-Site Events Assistants: provide support to the Event Supervisors Brewing Talks & Demo's Supervisor: handle & support the classroom area
Sales... Mug, Token & Literature Sales Supervisor: monitor the sales staff
Mug, Token & Literature Sales Staff: collect cash and distribute items Mug, Token & Literature Sales Assistants: collect used token / re-stocking Souvenir Booth Sales Supervisor: monitor the sales staff Souvenir Booth Sales Staff: collect cash and distribute items Souvenir Booth Assistants: display set-up / re-stocking / distribution
Certain jobs require specialized skills for the position, but mainly we are looking for candidates with solid backgrounds and work histories. In addition to the Application Forms, we'll require resumes and conduct phone interviews. We need qualified, responsible people for the Las Vegas Beer Festival™ and all the extra events in order to run as smoothly as possible. We want to provide a fantastic time for all festival attendees! The festival will be fun and most of the jobs will be relatively easy. We need professional, positive people for all positions. Having the time, desire to participate, and the ability to handle any problems that may arise is what we need most.
Details... Volunteers must be at least 21 years old to participate. Photo ID will be required to enter the festival grounds and needed at all entries. Please arrive at the Volunteers area to Check-in 30-45 minutes prior to your shift's start time. Once there you will receive your LVBF™ Staff shirt which you must wear at all times during your shift - then it's yours to keep!
Conditions... You are expected to adhere to our policy of tasting beer conservatively while representing the LVBF™ Staff to the thousands of festival attendees. You'll be required to remain sober during all of your scheduled shifts. The shifts are fairly short and you will be provided the option of a break. "Relief Volunteers" will be standing by at all times for your convenience. You must be a dependable Volunteer! Your prompt arrival for your scheduled shift is vital. If your schedule changes, please contact us immediately! Don't forget to allow adequate time for parking.
Staff Orientation & Information Sessions... All Staff members are required to attend one of the Pre-Festival Volunteer Information & Training Sessions. At the training sessions you will meet the Organizers of LVBF™, get to know your Staff Leaders, learn the layout of the festival grounds, and a few important details that you'll need to know. These sessions will be about an hour long and held in the weeks prior to the event. Yes, there will be complimentary beer afterward!
